The novel I’m currently working on explores the multiverse — infinite dimensions running parallel to our own. The characters remain the same; their stories, spanning multiple timelines, are vastly different.
The idea for Seconds came to me one day when I was driving home from work. I was turning left at a four-way intersection when another car, speeding through a red light, came within inches of hitting me. I slammed on my brakes just in time.
As I drove the rest of the way home—frazzled and shaky—I couldn’t stop thinking: was there another dimension where I didn’t brake? Where I did hit the car? Maybe, in that version of reality, my life completely changed. Maybe I didn’t survive.
One sentence pitch:
Crossing dimensions sparked a romance she never saw coming—now she must get him home before their journey rips reality apart.
